System Requirements
Minimum
- Windows® 95 or Windows® 98
- Pentium 166 (Note older Model Cyrix processors WILL NOT WORK with EverQuest.)
- 32 megabytes RAM
- 28.8 Internet connection
- Direct3D or Glide compliant videocard w/ 4MB RAM
- Sound Blaster compatible soundcard
- Microsoft compatible mouse
- 8x CD-ROM drive
DirectX 7.0a or Higher Required
EverQuest now requires that clients have DirectX 7.0a or higher installed.
Your version of DirectX will be listed at the bottom of System Information. Version 7.0a is listed as "DirectX 7.0 (4.07.00.0716)"
Optimum
For optimum performance, we recommend the following:
- Pentium 200 or greater
- 64 megabytes RAM or higher
- 3Dfx based video card
Patch Programs
The Velious CD simply adds the files necessary for the The Scars of Velious expansion. For a list of patches that were made since the Kunark release, see Kunark_Patch_History.
