The Innothule Swamp

Innothule Swamp is what connects the Desert of Ro up north to the jungles of The Feerrott to the west. It is inhabited by trolls, frogloks, kobolds, and many other creatures slithering through the marsh.

Most of the creatures found here are even matches for fledgling trolls coming from the city of Grobb to the south, but travelers should keep a sharp eye for the patrolling city guards known as Bashers.

The trolls of the region believe that the gods of hate and fear, Innoruuk and Cazic-Thule, conspired in their creation of the humid, dank swampland and gave it the name of Innothule. The ancient city of Guk lies to the east, which is the epicenter of a never ending war between the trolls of Grobb and the frogloks that took Guk many years ago.

Dangers

Innothule Swamp is the least tamed in all the lands of Antonica, if not all of Norrath. Swamp alligators and snakes are common, as well as both wandering and posted Troll Bashers from the nearby city of Grobb. The Frogloks’ young are born and take their first steps onto the land here. While it’s a very confusing area to explore, it is still safe for the younger dark races to hunt. Of course, those young from non-evil races may find themselves smashed instead of saved by the protectors of the lands, if they should flee from creatures of the swamp.

Benefits

Innothule Swamp separates the Troll city from its neighbors. Evil newbies who quail not at the thought of slogging through decaying flora and fauna might find this a very rewarding place. Not the spot for a second vacation home, perhaps, but potentially lucrative nonetheless.

Traveling To and From

From the North, Innothule Swamp is reached through the Southern Desert of Ro which lies south of Freeport. This can be a dangerous place, and probably shouldn't be travelled by those less than about 6th or 7th level. To the south is Gukta, home of the Frogloks. Be particularly wary of this area if you are of the "evil" races.

From the west, Innothule Swamp is entered by coming out of The Feerrott, home of the Ogres. This area lies south of Karana and Qeynos.

To the east is Guk, ancient home of the Frogloks. A particularly stunning dungeon with many dangers and rewards...
