Iksar Ruins approaching Old Sebilis

Trakanon's Teeth is a vast, swampy area in the mountains of the same name. The most notable feature is the vast ruins of the ancient city of the Iksar, Sebilis. The ancient ruins of a massive aqueduct lead from the small lake in the area to near the old city. Now, however, the city and the surrounding area are filled with the tormented dead. Other creatures of the swamp also roam freely in the large areas of the jungle.

Dangers

This vast space is home to many dangerous, wandering creatures. Many of them are aggressive, and many of them are very difficult to see against the underbrush and the ground while moving through the zone. Frogloks of all types are a frequent sight, and the more dangerous trakaraptors and trakanasaurs also wander freely and are aggressive. When travelling through this area, it is wise to move quickly and know which direction you're going, for it is possible to go past these monsters quickly and they won't become aggressive, but if you are slow or stop to look around, you will get jumped. If hunting here, stay close to the wall and be ready for lots of additions to the battle, even with a good puller.

Many of the other monsters, like the spectral keepers, generally keep to fixed places at either the small ruins in the larger jungle or in the Ruins of Sebilis behind the wall. They occasionally move outside of the city but generally stay within it. These are harder to pull by themselves from their surroundings.

The other problem is that the zone is so large. If you are stuck without a way to move quickly, travelling through this zone is arduous and dangerous. It is safest to stick to the walls and avoid everything.

Benefits

This zone, like a few others across the world, has a large number of rare creatures that can be hunted, making it a good place to find some nice, uncommon items. Having someone who can track is essential for this type of hunting, as the zone is very large.

The area behind the wall near the city of Sebilis is relatively free of roaming creatures. There is occasionally a spectral keeper moving around outside of the city itself, but for the most part you can move freely behind the wall without fear of getting jumped. This is good for setting up camp against the wall, as the pulls are much safer without wandering monsters.

This zone is home to two "named cycles", known as the Hunter and Forager Cycles. If you kill any monster on a cycle another monster from the cycle will appear immediately elsewhere. These cycles are popular because they are needed for the Key to Sebilis Quest and because they can have valuable loot.

Traveling To and From

The entrance from the Swamp of No Hope is located at the spring that feeds the whole swamp at approximately 1570, -4500 and enters Trakanon's Teeth at 1570, 4500.

There is a connection to the Emerald Jungle at 3955, 1500 along the northern edge of the zone.

Sebilis can be reached through Trakanon's Teeth, found at location -2055, -4450. To enter, you need to find a red sphere buried under some ruins, and also have the correct key to activate the portal. The key is obtainable through a quest with Emperor Ganek.

Garden Variety's Glorious Adventures and Travel Guide

Trakanon's Teeth, named after the poison dragon Trakanon, is separated from the rest of the Emerald Jungle by an enormous, ancient wall built by the Iksar over two thousand years before the Age of Turmoil. The wall acts as a first line of defense for the once great capital city of Sebilis that now lies in ruin deep within the region. This portion of the jungle is teaming with frogloks and undead Iksar that roam throughout the overgrown jungle. The entire area features remanants of the once glorious Iksar empire including an aqueduct that once brought fresh water to Sebilis. To the east, in the deepest part of the jungle, lies the entrance to Sebilis. While mostly destroyed, one can imagine the former beauty of the city from the intricate archways and the few statues that still stand. Beneath the exterior ruins, much of the inner city is still in tact, but entrance will require a key. In a nearby system of caves that served as a mausoleum for the Iksar of old, Emperor Ganak's ghost greets any and all visitors.

Ganak was the great-grandson of Venril Sathir, the first emperor after the Iksar liberation, and after the death of Ganak's father Atrebe in a failed necromantic experiment, Ganak quickly assassinated his two older brothers in order to claim the throne for himself. Ganak took the throne during the height of the Iksar-Dragon wars of Kunark. He faced off against the Ring of Scale's leader, Jaled'Dar, in an epic aerial battle in what is now known as the Field of Bone. Both leaders perished in this battle, and the demoralized dragons retreated to Veeshan's Peak to rethink their plans. Not long after, the poisonous dragon known as Trakanon attacked Sebilis himself, destroying what was left of the Iksar Empire and its last (short-lived) emperor, Chottal, whose ghost still lies within its crypt. The frogloks, who were slaves to the Iksar, now worship the undead dragon and defend the city with vigor. Emperor Ganak offers adventurers two tasks to complete. The shorter and easier of the two will grant one with a key to the inner depths of Sebilis in attempt to rid Ganak's city of Trakanon once and for all. Those with the ability to complete this task can accept a much more difficult quest from the emperor's ghost. This second task sends adventurers on a journey to collect medallions for each of the ancient Iksar tribes along with a tooth from Trakanon himself. The reward for this epic adventure is a key to Veeshan's Peak. Emperor Ganak seeks the demise of the dragons even in death.
